Tomorrow, let's get baguettes from that place on the corner.
You know the one, with the orange awning up on the Grand Armee,
the place that's always busy and even open on Sundays.
And once they're firmly in our grasp let's run
over to the Bar Freschetta on Via Brunetti and
grab a quick and deliciously rich cappuccino
from Antonio. He'll be so delighted to see us
and it will be so good to catch up with Francesca & Mavro.
We'll have these both for breakfast and while they're still settling
in our stomach we'll quickly make our way to Dimitri's for lunch.
We'll have a salad of fresh tomatoes and cucumbers and a side of crusty meatballs.
Perhaps we better order two sides of meatballs.
Don't linger too long. Certainly don't drink the raki,
(that they always bring us as a gift at the end) or we'll never make it
to where we need to go next.
Have a cold coffee frappe' for strength and
save some room.
I've two pizzas on order for us from Bracce.
Why don't you and Harry run and pick them up.
And, sweetie, while you're out,
could you stop in at the Plaza
and pick me up a large cold glass of Sangria?
With lots and lots of ice, I'm sure to be hot
after traipsing across the Continent
on this perfect culinary day.
