What does your music say about you?

By: Amity Preston

Your playlist says a lot about who you are, take for instance, mine:

"Pray for you" because I know exactly who I'd pray for.

"People are Crazy" because I know a few; see previous.

"Breath you take" because I'm thankful.

"If I die young" because I'm aware.

"The house that built me" because it makes me think of Dad.

"Free" because sometimes I forget.

"Give it away" because that's how it should have gone.

"Dream big" because I try to.

"Wild at heart" because I am.

"Need you now" because it makes me sad.

"Felt good on my lips" because it makes me think of Fridays.

"Who are you when I'm not looking" because I do those things sometimes.

"Tequila makes her clothes fall off" because it makes me smile.

"Rain is a good thing" because it makes me grateful for the weather.

Each and every song in your iPod, on your phone, or in your computer is there because it means something to you. I've found that I can learn a lot about myself simply by going through my old playlists. Music has the ability to take us to a different place and time. To a happy place, a sad place, or a place that never existed. All you have to do is listen.
